2. Hosting

This website runs on my own server at home (Ubuntu Server, Docker, nginx web server). It is a static website without user accounts; the only part that processes input is the contact chat (section 8), which runs as a small separate service on the same server. No external hosting provider is involved.

Diese Website läuft auf meinem eigenen Server zu Hause (Ubuntu Server, Docker, Webserver nginx). Es ist eine statische Website ohne Benutzerkonten; der einzige Teil, der Eingaben verarbeitet, ist der Kontakt-Chat (Abschnitt 8), der als kleiner eigener Dienst auf demselben Server läuft. Ein externer Hosting-Anbieter ist nicht beteiligt.

3. Cloudflare

The server is reachable from the internet only through a Cloudflare Tunnel (cloudflared / Zero Trust), without any open ports. Every request to this website therefore first goes to Cloudflare, Inc. (USA), which forwards it to my server and delivers the response. In doing so Cloudflare processes your IP address and technical request data (e.g. time, requested address, browser information). Cloudflare terminates the encrypted connection (TLS) on its servers, so Cloudflare could technically see the content of the traffic. This is needed to operate the website at all, because my internet connection cannot be reached directly. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Der Server ist aus dem Internet nur über einen Cloudflare Tunnel (cloudflared / Zero Trust) erreichbar, ohne offene Ports. Jede Anfrage an diese Website geht deshalb zuerst an Cloudflare, Inc. (USA), die sie an meinen Server weiterleitet und die Antwort ausliefert. Dabei verarbeitet Cloudflare deine IP-Adresse und technische Anfragedaten (z. B. Zeitpunkt, aufgerufene Adresse, Browser-Informationen). Cloudflare beendet die verschlüsselte Verbindung (TLS) auf seinen Servern und könnte den Inhalt des Datenverkehrs deshalb technisch einsehen. Das ist nötig, um die Website überhaupt betreiben zu können, weil mein Internetanschluss nicht direkt erreichbar ist. Cloudflare ist unter dem EU-US Data Privacy Framework zertifiziert. 4. Server log filesServer-Logdateien

For every request, the web server writes one log line with: a shortened IP address (IPv4: the last block is set to 0, e.g. 203.0.113.0; IPv6: only the first 48 bits are kept — for shortened IPv6 notations no address is stored), date and time, the requested page, HTTP status, amount of data, the referring page (referrer) and the browser/user agent. Your full IP address is not stored. This log is kept only on my server, rotated daily and deleted automatically after 7 days.

Bei jeder Anfrage schreibt der Webserver eine Log-Zeile mit: einer gekürzten IP-Adresse (IPv4: der letzte Block wird auf 0 gesetzt, z. B. 203.0.113.0; IPv6: nur die ersten 48 Bit bleiben — bei verkürzten IPv6-Schreibweisen wird keine Adresse gespeichert), Datum und Uhrzeit, aufgerufene Seite, HTTP-Status, Datenmenge, verweisende Seite (Referrer) und Browser/User-Agent. Deine vollständige IP-Adresse wird nicht gespeichert. Dieses Log liegt nur auf meinem Server, wird täglich rotiert und nach 7 Tagen automatisch gelöscht.

Error messages of the web server and of the contact-chat service contain no visitor IP addresses. They are kept in the container logs, limited to 10 MB per service; older entries are overwritten.

Fehlermeldungen des Webservers und des Kontakt-Chat-Dienstes enthalten keine IP-Adressen von Besuchern. Sie liegen in den Container-Logs, begrenzt auf 10 MB pro Dienst; ältere Einträge werden überschrieben.

Purpose: operating the website securely. Legal basis:Zweck: sicherer Betrieb der Website. Rechtsgrundlage: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO.

5. Fonts, scripts and external contentSchriften, Skripte und externe Inhalte

All fonts (Inter, Space Grotesk, JetBrains Mono), scripts, styles and images are delivered from this server. The website does not load anything from Google Fonts, CDNs or other third parties, and uses no tracking or analytics tools.

Alle Schriften (Inter, Space Grotesk, JetBrains Mono), Skripte, Stylesheets und Bilder werden von diesem Server ausgeliefert. Die Website lädt nichts von Google Fonts, CDNs oder anderen Drittanbietern und nutzt keine Tracking- oder Analyse-Tools.

6. Cookies & Local Storage

The website itself sets no cookies. If you use the language switch (DE/EN) or the light/dark switch, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage (keys lang and theme) so it is remembered on your next visit. This only happens when you click the switch, the data never leaves your device, and you can delete it at any time in your browser settings.

Die Website selbst setzt keine Cookies. Wenn du den Sprachschalter (DE/EN) oder den Hell/Dunkel-Schalter benutzt, wird deine Wahl im Local Storage deines Browsers gespeichert (Schlüssel lang und theme), damit sie beim nächsten Besuch erhalten bleibt. Das passiert nur, wenn du den Schalter anklickst, die Daten verlassen dein Gerät nie, und du kannst sie jederzeit in den Browser-Einstellungen löschen.

7. Contact by e-mailKontakt per E-Mail

E-mails to [email protected] are handled by the mail service Zoho Mail (Zoho Corporation). If you write to me, your address and message are processed there and by me only to answer you. Legal basis: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b or f DSGVO.

8. Contact chatKontakt-Chat

The contact chat on the legal notice page lets you send me a message. What happens:

Über den Kontakt-Chat auf der Impressum-Seite kannst du mir eine Nachricht schicken. Dabei passiert Folgendes:

• Spam protection: when you open the chat, your browser solves a small computing task (proof of work). This runs entirely on your device; no cookies, no third-party service.
• Spam-Schutz: Beim Öffnen des Chats löst dein Browser eine kleine Rechenaufgabe (Proof of Work). Das läuft komplett auf deinem Gerät; keine Cookies, kein Drittanbieter.
• Email check: I check whether the domain of your email address can receive mail (a DNS lookup of the domain only, not of the full address).
• E-Mail-Prüfung: Ich prüfe, ob die Domain deiner E-Mail-Adresse Mails empfangen kann (DNS-Abfrage nur der Domain, nicht der ganzen Adresse).
• Rate limiting: to block floods, a keyed hash of your IP address and of your email address is stored for at most 24 hours — never the IP itself.
• Begrenzung: Gegen Massen-Spam wird ein verschlüsselter Hash (HMAC) deiner IP-Adresse und deiner E-Mail-Adresse höchstens 24 Stunden gespeichert — nie die IP selbst.
• Delivery: your email address, your message and the page language are posted into a private conversation in my own Nextcloud Talk (on my server) and are not stored anywhere else.
• Zustellung: Deine E-Mail-Adresse, deine Nachricht und die Seitensprache werden in eine private Unterhaltung in meinem eigenen Nextcloud Talk (auf meinem Server) gepostet und sonst nirgends gespeichert.

Please don't put personal or sensitive information into chat messages — your e-mail address is enough for me to reply. Messages may be read with the help of Claude, a cloud AI (see section 9).

Bitte schreib keine persönlichen oder sensiblen Daten in Chat-Nachrichten — deine E-Mail-Adresse reicht, damit ich antworten kann. Nachrichten werden eventuell mit Hilfe von Claude gelesen, einer Cloud-KI (siehe Abschnitt 9).

9. AI processing by ClaudeKI-Verarbeitung durch Claude

For some tasks I use Claude, an AI service of Anthropic PBC (USA). Claude is a cloud AI, not a local model — the local AI server mentioned on this website belongs to my employer; my private setup uses Claude.

Für manche Aufgaben nutze ich Claude, einen KI-Dienst von Anthropic PBC (USA). Claude ist eine Cloud-KI, kein lokales Modell — der lokale KI-Server, der auf dieser Website vorkommt, gehört meinem Arbeitgeber; mein privates Setup nutzt Claude.

• Contact chat: messages land in a private conversation in my Nextcloud Talk. No automated agent reads them. When I go through them with Claude (it can read Talk via a connection to my Nextcloud), the message text and your e-mail address are sent to Anthropic to be processed.
• Kontakt-Chat: Nachrichten landen in einer privaten Unterhaltung in meinem Nextcloud Talk. Kein automatischer Agent liest sie. Wenn ich sie mit Claude durchgehe (Claude kann Talk über eine Verbindung zu meiner Nextcloud lesen), werden Nachrichtentext und E-Mail-Adresse zur Verarbeitung an Anthropic übertragen.
• Users of my Nextcloud: they can optionally connect their own Claude account to their Nextcloud account (with an app password). Claude can then work with their Nextcloud data within their own permissions. This is set up by each user themselves; there is no built-in AI feature in my Nextcloud that sends data to Claude.
• Nutzer meiner Nextcloud: Sie können optional ihr eigenes Claude-Konto mit ihrem Nextcloud-Konto verbinden (per App-Passwort). Claude kann dann im Rahmen ihrer eigenen Rechte mit ihren Nextcloud-Daten arbeiten. Das richtet jeder Nutzer selbst ein; eine eingebaute KI-Funktion, die Daten an Claude schickt, gibt es in meiner Nextcloud nicht.

This involves a transfer of data to the USA. Legal basis: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO (efficient handling of messages); for Nextcloud users, the connection they set up themselves.

Dabei werden Daten in die USA übertragen. Rechtsgrundlage: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO (effiziente Bearbeitung von Nachrichten); bei Nextcloud-Nutzern die von ihnen selbst eingerichtete Verbindung.
