2. Account and stored dataKonto und gespeicherte Daten
To use LearningForge you create an account with e-mail and password or sign in with Google (Firebase Authentication, Google). The app stores in Google Firebase (Firestore): your profile (display name, e-mail, profile picture, class), test results, grades, XP, streaks and achievements, leaderboard entries, friends/groups, feed posts and comments, bug reports, your own topics, daily-challenge scores and parent share links you create.
Für LearningForge legst du ein Konto mit E-Mail und Passwort an oder meldest dich mit Google an (Firebase Authentication, Google). Die App speichert in Google Firebase (Firestore): dein Profil (Anzeigename, E-Mail, Profilbild, Klasse), Testergebnisse, Noten, XP, Streaks und Erfolge, Bestenlisten-Einträge, Freunde/Gruppen, Feed-Beiträge und Kommentare, Fehlermeldungen, eigene Themen, Tageschallenge-Punkte und von dir erstellte Eltern-Links.
Visible to others: your display name, profile picture, class and scores appear on the leaderboard and in the feed for other users.
Für andere sichtbar: Anzeigename, Profilbild, Klasse und Punkte erscheinen für andere Nutzer in der Bestenliste und im Feed.

3. AI evaluation of testsKI-Auswertung von Tests
Tests are evaluated by AI — including free-text answers. For this, the task and your answer are sent through my server function (Cloudflare Worker) to an AI provider: Google (Gemini API) and/or Groq, Inc. (USA). Please don't write personal information into free-text answers.
Tests werden von KI ausgewertet — auch Freitext-Antworten. Dafür werden die Aufgabe und deine Antwort über meine Serverfunktion (Cloudflare Worker) an einen KI-Anbieter geschickt: Google (Gemini API) und/oder Groq, Inc. (USA). Bitte schreib keine persönlichen Daten in Freitext-Antworten.
4. Hosting and third-party servicesHosting und Drittanbieter
- GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc., USA) delivers the app; GitHub processes your IP address and access data.
- GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc., USA) liefert die App aus; GitHub verarbeitet deine IP-Adresse und Zugriffsdaten.
- Google Firebase (Google) for login and database; the Firebase scripts are loaded from Google servers (gstatic.com).

5. Local Storage & Offline
The app stores settings in your browser (e.g. theme, whether you've seen the changelog, an install hint, a weekly summary) and uses a service worker so it works offline. This data stays on your device.
Die App speichert Einstellungen in deinem Browser (z. B. Design, ob du das Changelog gesehen hast, einen Installations-Hinweis, eine Wochenübersicht) und nutzt einen Service Worker, damit sie offline funktioniert. Diese Daten bleiben auf deinem Gerät.
6. Deletion and exportLöschung und Export
In the settings you can download your data as a file and delete your account; deletion removes your profile, leaderboard entry and your own topics.
In den Einstellungen kannst du deine Daten als Datei herunterladen und dein Konto löschen; dabei werden dein Profil, dein Bestenlisten-Eintrag und deine eigenen Themen gelöscht.

Many users are under 16.

8. Your rightsDeine Rechte
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and to object (Art. 15–21 DSGVO), and to complain to a supervisory authority, e.g. the Brandenburg data protection authority. Just write to the e-mail address above.
Du hast das Recht auf Auskunft, Berichtigung, Löschung, Einschränkung, Datenübertragbarkeit und Widerspruch (Art. 15–21 DSGVO) sowie auf Beschwerde bei einer Aufsichtsbehörde, z. B. der Landesbeauftragten für den Datenschutz Brandenburg. Schreib dazu einfach an die E-Mail-Adresse oben.
